How to Remove Mascara Stains from Clothes?

 

Step 1: Assess the Fabric and the Stain

 

• Examine the garment’s care label to understand the recommended washing method and temperature for the fabric.
• Determine if the fabric is delicate, synthetic, or durable to choose the proper stain removal method.

 

Step 2: Scrape Off Excess Mascara

 

• Carefully use a dull edge, like a spoon or a butter knife, to remove any dried mascara clumps without damaging the fabric.
• Be gentle to avoid pushing the stain deeper into the fibers.

 

Step 3: Pre-Treat the Stain

 

• Apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent directly onto the stain. This detergent is designed to break down oily substances.
