Gather Supplies: Have a basin or sink, gentle wool detergent, and clean towels ready.
Water Temperature: Use cool or lukewarm water to prevent the wool from shrinking or felting.

Fill the Basin: Begin by filling a basin or sink with cool or lukewarm water and add a small amount of wool-friendly detergent.
Submerge Gently: Place your wool item in the water and gently agitate it, avoiding any rubbing or scrubbing.
Soak: Allow the item to soak for around 10-15 minutes to loosen dirt without damaging the fibers.
Rinse: Drain the soapy water and refill the basin with clean water. Rinse the wool item carefully until all detergent is removed.

Select the Right Cycle: Use the wool or delicate cycle on your washing machine, ensuring the water temperature is set to cool or lukewarm.
Choose a Wool Detergent: Utilize a detergent specifically designed for wool to maintain the integrity of the fibers.
Use a Mesh Bag: Place the item in a mesh bag so that the agitation remains gentle and the shape is preserved.
Low Spin Setting: Opt for a low spin speed to minimize stress on the wool fibers.

Do Not Wring: Avoid twisting or wringing your wool item. Instead, press out excess water by gently pressing between clean towels.
Lay Flat to Dry: Reshape the item and lay it flat on a dry towel, keeping it away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Maintain the Shape: While still damp, adjust the wool item to its original form to prevent stretching.
Store Appropriately: Once completely dry, store your wool clothes folded in a cool, dry area to maintain their shape and quality.
